May is the start of Secret Wars and an army of tie-in titles but the Marvel previews leave fans questioning the fate of certain books and reveals some long-awaited answers.

We knew the final story of the Ultimate Universe would be told in Ultimate End by Brian Bendis and Mark Bagley.

We knew Last Days would be the banner under Marvel books revealing how the heroes and villains spent their time together before the end.

Marvel’s May previews leave fans excited and anxious over the fate of popular icons.

Here are our Four Biggest Marvel Mysteries of May:

Uncanny Avengers #5 promises to reveal “the truth that will shatter the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver” as the High and Low Evolutionary clash. Ever since AXIS, fans have wondered who the father of Wanda and Pietro is if it’s not Magneto.

Thor #8 promises to finally reveal the identity of the mystery woman wielding the hammer.

Uncanny X-Men is the only ongoing X-book in May. No Amazing, All-New or even Cyclops. Brian Michael Bendis is wrapping up his X-Men run with the milestone 600th issue of Uncanny X-Men. We know where to find mutants of stories past* but what about the current mutants?

Superior Iron Man #9 Asks “Could this end in the death of the Tony Stark we know and love?” and declares “Superior Iron Man is dead. Long Live Superior Iron Woman!” Will Pepper Potts replace the inverted Stark as the Armored Avenger?

*Note: Inferno #1 is a Secret Wars spinoff set in the era when the mutants fought for humanity in a demon-infested Manhattan. In Old Man Logan Brian Bendis revisits the apocalyptic future world created by Mark Millar.
