Ant-Man will return.

We know Paul Rudd will appear in Captain America: Civil War and we examined how the post-credit sequence could set the stage for Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: The Infinity War.

We will see an Ant-Man 2? Will Wasp soar in the Marvel movies?

Here are our big wishes for the future of Marvel’s smallest heroes:

More Michael Douglas/Hank Pym! The Oscar winner was perfect as Marvel’s genius inventor haunted by his love for Janet Van Dyne. Pym could be a rich and resourceful ally for Steve Rogers and his resistance forces in Civil War plus I can see Hank as the one guy who could put Tony Stark in his place.

Pym Particles Go Big? Hank Pym didn’t just get small. In the comics Hank evolved his Pym particles to grow and take on the code-names Giant-Man and Goliath. Could we see a giant size Paul Rudd in a future movie?

Return of Janet Van Dyne? The original Wasp sacrificed herself to save the U.S.A. but was lost as she shrank into the Quantum Realm. Scott Lang found his way back. Could Janet or Hank find a way to be reunited. Part of me is still hoping for Catherine Zeta-Jones to come out of the Realm as the stunning, stylish Janet. Hank’s Quantum Realm research may come in handy or make him a target as we keep moving toward Avengers: The Infinity War. Remember the Time Gem is one of the Infinity Gems Thanos needs to arm the Infinity Gauntlet!

Bill Foster? Dr. Bill Foster was a young biochemist working for a Stark lab when he became the lab assistant of Pym who finds a cure when Pym is stuck in giant size. Foster gained the power to grow super-size as has his own brief series, Black Goliath then took the code-name Giant Man. Foster was part of Project Pegasus (a secret government energy research facility) and co-starred with Thing in a classic Marvel Two-In-One team-up series in the 70’s.Foster made a comeback and tragic end in the Civil War comic so seeing this cool character get a second chance on the big screen would be great. Bill’s nephew Tom is a young science student vowing to crack the Pym formula and become a hero like his uncle.

A Vision of Jocasta? In the comics Hank Pym created Ultron who created Vision and later Jocasta (in the image of Janet Van Dyne.) Tony Stark created Ultron in the movies and Jarvis evolved into the Vision with the aid of an Infinity gem. If Lang and Pym join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will they interact with the android and start new ripples leading to more androids?

Cassie Crisis? Scott Lang’s reason for turning to a life of crime is the movie is different from the comics. Lang played high-tech “Robin Hood” and took on his corrupt employers. In the comics Lang went rogue to pay for experimental medical treatment for his daughter Cassie. Will a Cassie crisis lure Scott back to a life of crime.

Cassie/Stature? Comics-inspired movies often take twist in the past and future. Cassie took the Pym particles and the code-name Stature and joined the Young Avengers. As we build up to The Infinity War, could the Young Avengers legacy heroes carry on Marvel’s cinematic franchise? Fan-favorite Cassie/Stature from Ant-Man may be the first of the next generation.

Avengers Academy? In the comics Hank Pym founded the Avengers Academy, a program to help train young people with newly acquired powers and abilities. Hank, Scott, Janet and Hope could be great teachers for more of the next generation who could make the jump to the big screen.

Ant-Man Security Solutions? Scott Lang is currently starring in his own series by Nick Spencer. Lang is based in Miami to be closer with Cassie and put his experience as an electronics expert and thief to work as a security expert. The series is fun and filled with more lower level but unique characters like Grizzly.

Taskmaster! This is the go-to villain for many Marvel writers, one of the recurring bad guys Lang faces over the years even in his current book and one of our top villain picks for Civil War or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Taskmaster is a master of combat with the ability to adopt any fight style and is the go-to expert Hydra and criminal organizations use for missions and training operatives.

Paul Rudd will return in Captain America: Civil War in 2016.

Do you want to see Ant-Man (Pym and Lang) star in their own sequel?
