Here it comes:
Batman’s war with Ra’s al Ghul led to a standoff high in the Himalayas over caskets holding the bodies of Talia and Damian. The standoff that was interrupted by the Glorious Godfrey and forces of Apokolips!
Now bitter enemies Batman and Ra’s must fight as allies to stop Glorious Godfrey from taking Damian’s body. Why does Godfrey, on a mission for Darkseid, want a corpse from our world?
Turns out, Ra’s hid a piece of the shattered Chaos Crystal in with Damian’s corpse. Armies of Apokolips will do anything to retrieve the Chaos Shard.
During the epic fight, as Godfrey enters a Boom Tube with the sarcophagus with Damian’s body, Shazam severs the tether of Bruce’s grappling hook. Batman is saved, but Damian is lost.
Batman makes his intention clear: he’s taking the fight to Darkseid.
