Batman and The Flash team up for the next chapter in the biggest mystery in the DC Universe.
It began in DC Universe: Rebirth by Geoff Johns with the return of Wally West and Batman discovering a button in the Batcave. A button like the one worn by The Comedian in Watchmen.
DC Comics announced The Button, a four-part story arc in issues #21 and #22 of BATMAN and THE FLASH.
The Button is from the Batman team of writer Tom King and artist Jason Fabok and The Flash writer Joshua Williamson and artist Howard Porter. DC’s two greatest detectives unite to unravel the mystery behind the blood stained smiley face button stuck in the Batcave wall. “What begins as a simple investigation soon turns deadly when the secrets of the button prove irresistible to an unwelcome third party – and it’s not who anyone suspects! This is a mystery woven throughout time, and the countdown starts here.”
The clues have been building up across DC Rebirth titles making fans speculate members of the Watchmen are behind the surveillance of Superman, kidnapping of Red Robin and a missing decade aka The New 52 era.
Each issue will have a variant lenticular cover all drawn by Jason Fabok.
The Button crossover begins April 19.
