One major highlight from the DC Comics Eternal Batman panel was the publisher’s top talent revealing their favorite moments in the Dark Knight’s history.
Scott Snyder, James Tynion, Tim Seeley, Ray Fawkes and artist Dustin Nguyen will launch Batman Eternal in April.
Here’s what the team behind the new weekly series say are their favorite moments:
Tim Seeley: Batman giving Superman a pep talk in JLA #41 threatening to “hound him through the afterlife” if Clark didn’t win.
Ray Fawkes chose the fourth issue of The Dark Knight Returns in which Robin proclaimed “he can’t die.”
James Tynion flashed back to the 1970’s sword fight between Bruce and Ra’s Al Ghul in the desert illustrated by Neal Adams.
Scott Snyder picked The Dark Knight Returns. He was only 10 years old but after that he knew “Batman would be around forever.”
Dustin Nguyen chose a pivotal issue of Batman Beyond where Bruce Wayne doesn’t think of himself as “Bruce.”
What is your favorite Batman moment?
More to come from Emerald City Comicon.
