The Birds of Prey soar again.
DC Comics shared a look inside BATGIRL AND THE BIRDS OF PREY: REBIRTH #1.
In the one-shot arriving this New Comic Book Wednesday, Barbara Gordon returns from overseas and back in Burnside fighting crime. When Batgirl interrupts a group of mafia hitmen, she finds that the order for the killing came from Oracle. Someone has stolen Barbara’s old code-name.
Barbara recruits Black Canary to find out who this fake Oracle is and what they are after.
Babs and Dinah will be on a collision course with Helena Bertinelli aka Huntress. (The former Spyral agent and Grayson co-star is back in her more famous costume and code-name.)
In the original Birds of Prey, Barbara was injured and retired the Batgirl identity to become Oracle. Working with Black Canary, Huntress and other female heroes, Barbara used her brains and computer network to fight crime. In the New 52 continuity Barbara recovered from her injury and became Batgirl again.
