David Letterman announced he will retire from late night talk show after 20 years.
Do you remember when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were his special guests?
Kudos to Brett White of Marvel.com for reminding me of this classic issue from way back in 1984.
As you can see Avengers #239 the late night host is part of the Marvel Universe – hey it is set in the real New York City – and Dave was joined by members of the classic team.
Around that time Simon Williams (aka Wonder Man) was working in Hollywood and the Avengers. Simon and Beast (during a long absence from the X-Men) were best friends and provided humor along with all the action in Avengers.
