Marvel unveiled a new poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron starring the evil A.I.
Ultron is one of the oldest and most ruthless villains in Avengers history.
James Spader and director Joss Whedon are bringing the relentless villain to cybernetic life as an artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark and a legion of armored units.
The Ultron program gains sentience and evolves its programming to declare war on humanity in the sequel.
“He can go from very intense to very comedic and get there like on a dime beautifully,” Whedon said of Spader’s performance on Marvel.com.
While’s Ultron’s face remains fairly the same in comics…”in movie his face is articulated” via Spader’s motion-capture process.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1st.
