After taking She-Hulk to court in an acclaimed series, killing an X-Man (Death of Wolverine) and launching a major new franchise (Inhumans) Charles Soule is dealing with the devil.
Marvel announced Soule and artist Ron Garney as the new creative team on Daredevil when The Man Without Fear relaunches as part of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now this fall after Secret Wars.
There will be some things that are familiar. Matt Murdock is moving back to New York City and back to being an attorney after losing his license and moving to San Francisco in the previous volume.
Fan-favorites including some old school heroes are coming back in 2016.
DC Comics followed up last week’s announcement of eight new six-issue limited series coming in 2016.
The new books will reunite several characters from DC Comics’ history with the writers that made them fan favorites: Teen Titans Marv Wolfman returns to RAVEN, Gerry Conway to FIRESTORM, KATANA: CULT OF THE KOBRA will be written by Outsiders co-creator Mike W. Barr and Len Wein will handle the writing chores on METAL MEN and SWAMP THING.
Three more titles round out the lineup, expanding on the combination of new creators with characters from DC’s library recently established in the New DC Universe debuting this past June: Amy Chu (SENSATION COMICS WONDER WOMAN) provides her own unique take with POISON IVY: CYCLE OF LIFE AND DEATH, Aaron Lopresti (THE NEW 52: FUTURE’S END) will pen METAMORPHO, while the always interesting Keith Giffen puts his own unique spin on one of DC’s more offbeat titles, SUGAR & SPIKE.
