Armie Hammer rides with Johnny Depp in The Lone Ranger this Summer and has now accepted to mission to be Tom Cruise’s co-star in The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
The star on The Lone Ranger and The Social Network will star opposite Cruise in director Guy Ritchie’s film for Warner Brothers according to The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision.
The film is based on the 1960’s spy series which starred Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo and David McCallum as IIlya Kuryakin. The Cold War set series starred an American and Russian agent working together for U.N.C.L.E. most often against agents of T.H.R.U.S.H.
There’s a lot of reboot experience with this team. Cruise has starred in four Mission Impossible films inspired by another retro spy television series while Ritchie successfully launched Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
The Lone Ranger opens July 3rd.
