Marvel Studios officially announces the filming of Ant-Man is underway in San Francisco following director Peyton Reed’s LET’S GET small Tweet earlier today.
Marvel confirmed new actors will join the cast including Bobby Cannavale, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, John Slattery and Gregg Turkington and T.I.
Paul Rudd plays Scott Lang, Michael Douglas is Hank Pym, Evangeline Lilly is Pym’s daughter, Hope. Corey Stoll is Darren Cross, the corporate mogul who will become Yellowjacket.
Fans should note John Slattery played Howard Stark in Iron Man 2. This could mean we’ll learn a connection between Hank Pym and the father of Iron Man and the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain America. In comics Pym is a founding member of the Avengers.
