Peter Parker is making a major comeback in a brand new Amazing Spider-Man #1 and now Marvel reveals Parker will have his own Infinite comic. Parker is coming out swinging for fans on multiple formats.
Amazing Spider-Man Infinite #1 is by writer Joshua Hale Fialkov and artist Juan Bobillo under Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott. As Fialkov tells Marvel.com the story begins with Spidey on the wrong side of the law:
“The story starts with Peter Parker having lost all of his memory. He doesn’t know who he is. He’s in the process of robbing a bank, and doing so wearing a full body stocking. He finds out, in the process of the first installment, that he’s Spider-Man. According to the Daily Bugle, of course, Spider-Man is reportedly a menace, a bad guy. At this point he has no choice but to continue along with the scheme. If you remove identity and get to the core of who Peter Parker really is, is he a hero? Does his heroism go beyond Uncle Ben dying, beyond Gwen and Captain Stacy dying? All the people and things he’s lost. All those sacrifices. At his heart—as a blob of tissue, removed from all personality and experience—would he act as a hero, when presented with the opportunities of a villain?”
The story will be 13-parts and as you can see from the cover it looks like the Shocker will appear in the Spidey caper.
The Amazing Spider-Man comic and Infinite comic begins in April.
