The youngest X-Men are breaking away from the old guard when the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now begins.
While Storm’s Extraordinary X-Men are fighting a new threat that’s killing mutants, the All-New X-Men are on the road trying to be heroes.
The “new” All-New X-Men by Dennis Hopeless and Mark Bagley are the time-lost young Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman with Oya, Evan Genesis and Laura Kinney (the former X-23 and new Wolverine.)
As the cover shows, the kids literally are on the road in a VW. The writer explains why the rookies are breaking away from the other teams.
“They think the adult X-Men have broken the world by trying to fix it. That’s part of what our book is. Four of the original five X-Men traveling around with three other disenchanted young X-Men, trying to get back to Xavier’s original plan. They aren’t interested in “saving the world for mutantkind!” That never works. They just want to be heroes who help people and change the world by doing good.” Hopeless told Marvel.com.
Hopeless says to watch for new villain in the first arc with classic bad guys waiting in the wings.
