Fans are eagerly awaiting the season three premiere of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
When we left off, Inhumanity is spreading across the planet after Terrigen Crystals mixed into the eco-system and food supply, Agent Skye learned to wield her Inhuman seismic power in a showdown with her mother, Ward is apparently launching his own Hydra and Simmons vanishing in an alien artifact that looks like a cosmic blob.
Director Phil Coulson and Skye (now accepting her comic book counterpart name Daisy Johnson aka Quake) are leading a new squad to deal with the explosion of Inhumans.
Marvel via Twitter revealed the team will fly in a new “bus”. Zephyr One is the new airbus after Director Coulson’s “bus” went down in a fiery crash last season.
The husband and wife executive producer team shared about what feels different with running the upcoming season:
“There’s more scale and scope, but at the same time, I think we’re diving into each character’s internal struggle a little bit more. You would be surprised that there’s even room to do that, but somehow, there is.” said Maurissa Tanchareon.
“It’s a blessing and a curse to sort of reinvent the show a little bit in the new season. Again, it feels that way — we’re all kind of coming to it new, and we have to learn the new rules of the new show every season. Which is a challenge, but fun,” added Jed Whedon.
The team track down a new Inhuman racing against a rival “government” agency, Fitz attempts to save Simmons and Lance Hunter plots revenge against Ward and Hydra.
Lash, a new Inhuman from the comics, is a major villain this season.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres tonight on ABC.
