AGENTS OF SHIELD LMD Villain Revealed

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. came back with a twist filled winter premiere exposing the big villain and manipulating Melinda May’s relationships with Team Coulson…especially Coulson.

Ghost Rider roared into the unknown and LMD is the fourth season’s new arc and subtitle. The quests for the Darkhold and Inhumans continue to drive the action.

When we left our agents LMD Aida was altered by the Darkhold (the android can experience feelings) and had replaced Agent Melinda May with a LMD double who is plotting against the team and flirting with Phil Coulson.

Before we continue here’s a SPOILER ALERT!

If you have not seen this week’s episode stop reading now.

Seriously.

OK.

Here it comes.

Director Mace ordered Dr Radcliffe to erase the Darkhold from her programming but Aida got the drop on the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and hacked into the base to find the mystical artifact. Mack chopped off Aida’s head but LMD May is still embedded within the team.

Aida’s story is far from over. There are multiple versions and the LMD May is still working her wiles on Coulson and out to steal the Darkhold for…

Radcliffe.

Fitz’s mentor is the big bad of LMD and obsessed with seizing the power of the Darkhold.

The Inhuman drama is still weaving into a bigger mystery. Senator Nadir’s brother emerged from his cocoon with powers of super burst of speed. Quake saved the new Inhuman from his sister’s soldiers but he ultimately choose to take off with his sister – who shot him dead in the gut. The Senator is behind the Watchdog group stalking Inhumans.

One more twist – the dead Inhuman’s body was chained to a weight and dumped into the ocean. Upon hitting the ocean floor, the Inhuman seemed to be evolving with a new cocoon covering his body. Is this a “bonus” power just for this Inhuman or can all of them do this?

How will this play into the season’s third arc and leading into the new Inhumans series coming this Fall?

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 10 pm on ABC.
