Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. delivered shock after shock in the mid-season finale last night with a major deaths and revelations.
We know now the truth about Skye, The Doctor and the artifact that will change the fate of two characters on the series.
Before we reveal the possible comic book counterparts of Skye and The Doctor here’s a….

Here it comes.
We named him the perfect villain for the series in October 2013 and he made his monstrous appearance (almost) on this week’s shocking episode.
Kyle MacLachlan joined the cast this season as “The Doctor” but we knew there was something sinister about the estranged father of Agent Skye.
Tonight was the final face to face meeting of father an daughter. The payoff was awesome and the possible stories yet to come are thrilling to wonder about.
When the Doctor introduced himself as Cal – I knew it was coming.
When Skye (Chloe Bennet) told her father, “you’re a monster” I felt the chill.
Then Cal the Doctor called Skye – Daisy!
Skye is Daisy Johnson.
The Doctor is Calvin Zabo aka Mister Hyde!
Ok we never officially hear last names but…come on.
Who is Daisy Johnson?
Nick Fury watched Daisy for years given her super villain connections and recruited her into his Secret Warriors and then S.H.I.E.L.D. Daisy goes by the code-name Quake for her power to generate earthquakes. While Daisy got her powers from from her father in comics – it looks like Quake’s power is descended from the Kree and she’s possibly an Inhuman!

Who is Mister Hyde?
Dr. Calvin Zabo was a brilliant scientist obsessed with the effects of hormones on the human body. Zabo’s other obsession was Robert Louis Stevenson’s Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde. Zabo used his own creation on himself leading to his monstrous alter ego. Genius level intellect combined with super strength and resistance to injury made him a formidable foe against Thor, Captain America and the Avengers. Zabo is a dealer of growth hormones to criminals and former member of the Masters of Evil and Thunderbolts.
What happened with Skye/Daisy, Raina and Agent Triplet? It sure looks like they were exposed to Terrigenesis, were cocooned and transformed into Inhumans.
The Inhumans are a secluded society descended from ancient humans who were experimented on by the Kree. When an Inhuman comes of age they are exposed to Terrigen Crystals (aka Terrigenesis) which triggers the alien DNA inside them and gives them powers and sometimes strange new physical appearances.
The mid-season finale delivered in a huge way: Daisy, Mister Hyde and Inhumans and what has Raina become? Will she be an infamous villain from comics too after her exposure? Who is the faceless man – another Inhuman?
