Peggy Carter faces a new adversary in season two of Marvel’s Agent Carter.
Peggy and Jarvis go west in a new adventure in Hollywood. Whitney Frost is one of the new characters. A name that’s chilling for Iron Man and Avengers readers.

Frost is more infamously known as Madame Masque in the comics. She was born Giuletta Nefaria, daughter of criminal mastermind Count Nefaria of the Maggia (the Marvel Universe version of the Mafia) but was given to the wealthy Frost family and renamed Whitney because her father wanted a better life for his child.
After her adoptive parents death, the orphaned socialite learned her true heritage as Nefaria recruited Whitney to take his role in the Maggia. In her first mission to steal from Tony Stark, Whitney’s face is badly scarred and she dons a golden mask and becomes Madame Masque. The villainess became an ongoing enemy of Iron Man and the Avengers. Masque is currently part of a big story in Invincible Iron Man involving Tony, Doctor Doom and her quest to steal mystical objects.
The big question – is this Whitney really a Nefaria? This could be how the infamous Nefaria family is introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
No official word on how this 1950’s version of Masque will follow her comic book counterpart but she’s described as an actress pulling the strings of a politician. Peggy will also face the return of Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan) the Black Widow, the Maggia and the Secret Empire.
Peggy will have backup as Jarvis, Agents Thompson and Sousa are returning for the second season.
Marvel’s Agent Carter returns January 19th on ABC.
