AVENGERS TIME JUMP

As a huge fan of Jonathan Hickman’s Avengers run this is exciting news. All the plots within plots, cosmic level events and time jumping all lead to a major moment this fall.

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have been fighting to protect Earth in Avengers while The Illuminati have committed some less than heroic acts to save the planet in New Avengers. The secrets come out in tie-ins to Original Sin.

JOSH BROLIN As THANOS In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Josh Brolin (Oldboy, No Country for Old Men) will play Thanos in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers 3 according to Latino Review and Variety.

The Mad God of Titan is a major Marvel Comics super villain who appeared in the post-credits sequence of The Avengers as the mastermind behind the Chitauri and Loki’s invasion of Earth.

Two major characters in Guardians (Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Karen Gillan as Nebula) are the daughters of Thanos who it was almost assured the Mad God would appear in the film. It’s like Thanos will be a behind the scenes mastermind ultimately pulling the strings of the main bad guys Ronan (Lee Pace) and Nebula. POLARIS for X-MEN Movies?

Quicksilver (Evan Peters) was a scene stealing smash in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The super fast mutant was recruited by Wolverine and Professor X to break Magneto out of prison in what might be the coolest scene in an X-movie since Nightcrawler’s White House attack.

In the comics Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (Pietro and Wanda) are children of Magneto but left his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants to become Avengers. Fans got their first look at the twins (Aaron Taylor-Johnson & Elizabeth Olsen of Godzilla) in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and we’ll learn just how they differ from their comic book counterparts in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Dick Grayson is no longer Nightwing.

Will a new hero take on the role?

In the aftermath of Forever Evil – Dick will become a super spy operative in Grayson #1.

After assuming the roles of Robin, Nightwing and even Batman – Dick is moving on to a new role without a mask or costume.

SENTINELS of X-MEN FUTURE?

The Sentinels were as chilling and relentless as longtime X-fans expected them to be in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Director Bryan Singer and the X-Team showed us the original Sentinels as created by Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) and the adaptable versions of the future. In an unique twist from comics lore, Trask used the shapeshifting genes of Mystique in order to make the robots adapt to any prey’s powers.

NIGHTWING #30 Finale And New Beginning

Don’t think of Nightwing #30 as a finale but a bold new beginning for one of the greatest heroes in comics. It is the final issue of Nightwing starring Dick Grayson but his story is far from over in a surprising relaunch and new role.

In the aftermath of Forever Evil, the world thinks Dick Grayson is dead. The Crime Syndicate captured, tortured and exposed Nightwing’s real identity to the world. In the Forever Evil finale Lex Luthor “killed” Dick to save the day.
Nightwing #30 gives us a brutal battle between Batman and Nightwing as Bruce test Dick and asks him to make a major sacrifice. It’s a bloody fight filled with power and raw emotions. It’s as if Bruce and Dick’s fight is ripping apart their past as the rip apart the Batcave to push the one-time sidekick finally out of the Batman legacy into his own new future. FANTASTIC FOUR Reboot Compared To BATMAN BEGINS

With the global launch of X-Men: Days of Future Past behind him there’s no rest for Simon Kinberg. The producer/writer is on the set of the Fantastic Four reboot. Movie franchises starring the Children of the Atom and Marvel’s First Family are both controlled by Fox.

In a new interview Kinberg tells The Daily Beast the tone of the Fantastic Four will be different:
