Epic crossovers with a multiverse of heroes and villains.

Beloved characters back in print.

Stars of major movies and television getting their own books.

Here are our Comic Characters to Watch in 2015:

Starfox

The half-brother of Thanos will appear in the Avengers: Rage of Ultron original graphic novel. The Eternal has been off the grid for years after brief appearances in She-Hulk. Rick Remender (Uncanny Avengers, AXIS) is the architect of this cosmic clash and Eros’s comeback.

Ultron takes over Titan, the moon homeworld of Thanos and the Eternals bringing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes into a three-way war. Thanks to Remender – Plantman made the list of our most unexpected comebacks of 2014. We know Starfox is coming but how will Remender craft this Eternal’s comeback?

Howard the Duck

The beloved Steve Gerber creation stole the post-credits ending of Guardians of the Galaxy and was king of our unexpected comebacks of 2014. The Duckworld refugee returns to Marvel Comics in 2015. Howard will be a private investigator in a new series by Chip Zdarsdky (Sex Criminals) and Joe Quinones.

Peggy Carter

She’s more than Captain America’s lost love. Peggy was critical to the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D. Peggy stars in Operation S.I.N. with Howard Stark in a limited series by Kathryn Immonen. Hayley Atwell reprises her role as Peggy in Marvel’s Agent Carter on ABC. Peggy will go on secret missions for Howard Stark with Edwin Jarvis while balancing her role in the S.S.R. With all the time travel and twists could we see Peggy leap into the Marvel Now? Wouldn’t it be ironic if a young Peggy from the past reunited with Steve Rogers now he’s aged after having the Super Soldier Serum take from him?

Spider-Gwen

One of the most tragic characters in comics is enjoying a fascinating comeback – sort of. Gwen Stacy is the Spider-Woman of her world in the multiverse. The breakout star of Edge of Spider-Verse will have her own series by Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez.

Miles Morales

The End may be nigh for Marvel’s Ultimate Universe in 2015? The Ultimate Spider-Man is starring in a crossover with the All-New X-Men. If any hero survives the final destruction of the Ultimate line we’re betting on the fan-favorite Miles who could make the leap into the proper Marvel Universe.

Daken

Will the son of Wolverine follow in his father’s legacy? Daken’s chapter of Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy was our favorite. After a lifetime of hate, rage and seeking revenge – Daken seemed to find a new purpose in Logan’s death. Daken, Sabretooth, Mystique and X-23 will all star in Wolverines in 2015. The new weekly series by Charles Soule, Ray Fawkes and Nick Bradshaw puts Logan’s “daughter” and three enemies on a mission together. We’ve always felt Daken is the one villain capable of change and redemption as seen in the chapter by James Tynion. Daken has a lot of blood to answer for.

Ant-Man

Scott Lang stars in a brand new series by Nick Spencer. Lang will be reunited with his daughter Cassie (aka Stature) in the comic book. Paul Rudd will portray Lang on the big screen in Ant-Man with Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Watch for a possible Lang cameo in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Ultron

The greatest Avengers enemy makes a double impact comeback in 2015. Director Joss Whedon and actor James Spader bring the evil A.I. to monstrous life in Avengers: Age of Ultron in May. The villain stars in Avengers: Rage of Ultron, an original graphic novel by Rick Remender and Jerome Opena. What happens when Ultron seizes control of Titan – homeworld of Thanos?

Avengers

You may ask why Earth’s Mightiest Heroes made the list? Jonathan Hickman is wrapping up his Avengers, New Avengers run with the Secret Wars event in 2015. No official word but could this be Hickman’s grand finale? Who will be the next writer to lead Marvel’s biggest franchise? With an All-New Captain America, Superior Iron Man and new Thor – the team dynamic is radically different. Will the team go back to basics or continue to evolve after the events of Secret Wars?

The cinematic version of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes could shaken up by the battle with Ultron. With Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Inhumans part of Marvel Phase Three – could one of these heroes replace a fallen hero and join the team on-screen in Captain America: Civil War or Avengers: The Infinity War?

Damian Wayne

Will absolutely power corrupt Batman’s son absolutely? Bruce Wayne literally went to hell (Apokolips) and back to resurrect his son. Bruce successfully changed Damian’s path before his tragic death. Will a powerhouse Damian let himself be controlled or influenced? Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason continue their emotional and epic Batman and Robin run with a new chapter for father and son – will it lead to greatness or a greater tragedy.

Superman

New costume. New power. New villains. How will Geoff Johns and John Romita Jr. evolve the Man of Steel as their first arc comes to a game-changing end? The new Man of Steel debuts in Superman #38. Will Clark evolve into a force like the blue lightning Superman of Grant Morrison’s JLA run, will the red underwear as outerwear return or does the creative dream team have something completely different in store for the DC icon?

Telos

Who is the mysterious new villain at the center of DC’s big 2015 event? Convergence begins when Brainiac unleashes his collection of lost worlds with lost heroes and villains. How does Telos figure into the conflict and what long-term impact will he have on the DC Universe? Convergence begins in April.

Donna Troy

Once Convergence was announced Wonder Girl was one of our top characters we wanted to see return. Donna will be part of a New Titans two-part tie-in to Convergence by legendary writer Marv Wolfman. We just have a feeling Donna’s first appearance in The New 52 is the beginning of her full return to greatness.

Bluebird

Harper Row became an instant fan-favorite in the pages of Scott Snyder’s Batman. The tough teen from the Narrows may not be the long-rumored new Robin but assumes her own costumed identity as Bluebird. As Batman Eternal and Endgame reach their finales in March 2015, we feel Harper will continue her role as the Dark Knight’s partner in fighting crime. With so many compelling new young heroes in the Bat-cast – could Harper lead a new version of Batman and the Outsiders with Spoiler, Duke, Cullen Row and Lark?

The Anti-Monitor

It’s been a while since the villain made his New 52 debut in the final page of Forever Evil. The Anti-Monitor destroyed Earth 3 and declared “Darkseid shall be mine.” The cosmic entity was first introduced in the classic Crisis of Infinite Earths as the Multiverse was devastated. The New 52 reintroduced the Multiverse and it will be a huge part of Convergence. Geoff Johns gives us the prologue to The Darkseid War in Justice League #40 – will it be the first salvo in a modern take on the classic cosmic clash? Will the Anti-Monitor lead to a new reboot of The New 52?
