Winter Soldier will lead the new squad featuring original members Moonstone, Mach-V, Fixer and Atlas in a new book by Jim Zub and Jon Malin.
The original Thunderbolts were villains masquerading as heroes including then leader Baron Zemo. The team evolved over the years as the government’s secret weapon of villains. The T-bolts were even ordered to bring in unregistered heroes during the first Civil War.
Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. introduced the first trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Marvel via Twitter shared three new posters for the superhero showdown Based on the comics epic by Mark Millar.
The clash of heroes follows the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron in Sokovia and the hunt for assassin Winter Soldier. Bucky Barnes was Cap’s best friend who was a brainwashed assassin for Hydra. It appears Bucky is free of the mind control but someone is framing him for new acts of terror.
There’s always been an uneasy friendship between Rogers and Stark but that will explode into all-out war.
Captain America: Civil War will be Avengers 2.5+ as heroes choose sides in an epic battle that disassembles Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

The film will include Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13. This film could be the first time we see the new Spider-Man born from the Marvel/Sony partnership.
Based on the comics storyline, when the government passes the Superhero Registration Act – it fractures the Avengers and a Civil War among the costumed heroes doesn’t stay civil.
