Trek film producer Alex Kurtzman will be the executive producer of the upcoming show that “will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its start in 1966.

The first Star Trek television series in more than a decade will go directly to the fans via CBS All Access. Alex Kurtzman, part of the team behind the recent movie reboot, will be the executive producer.

Fans can explore strange new worlds and seek out new life with a next chapter of the beloved science fiction franchise as they stream and prosper.

GUARDIANS GAMORA Solo Movie For Your Consideration

Fans are speculating Black Widow or Captain Marvel could be the first female hero to star in a solo Marvel movie but has Gamora blasted to the front of the line?

 

Black Widow has the Avengers fan base and after the success of Lucy, Scarlett Johansson has even more box-office power. I definitely want a Black Widow solo movie or a Natasha/Bucky team-up movie.

 

The Carol Corps can’t be denied. I hope to see fan favorite Carol Danvers soar as Captain Marvel in Avengers 3 and beyond.

Two beloved sci-fi franchises collide in an upcoming crossover from IDW Publishing and BOOM! Studios: Star Trek/Planet of the Apes.

Announced at San Diego Comic Con, IDW will publish the crossover. Together with BOOM! Studios, they will bring Star Trek,licensed by CBS Consumer Products, and 20th Century Fox’s Planet of the Apes. The series pairs the original U.S.S. Enterprise crew with Taylor, Nova and the cast from the original Planet of the Apes film.

SEATTLE CINERAMA SCI-FI FILM FESTIVAL 2014

Sci-fi fans should make warp speed to Emerald City for an amazing line-up of films and iconic guest stars. Paul G. Allen’s iconic Seattle Cinerama Theater will host its second annual Science Fiction Festival from May 1-12, with 12 days of special programming.

 

The festival will be highlighted by the world premiere of Douglas Trumbull’s short film, UFOTOG, along with screening of over three dozen of the genre’s most beloved movies and celebrity appearances by Jonathan Frakes, Tom Skerritt, and Sam J.
