You’ve read enough about the latest version of the Fantastic Four.

Here’s where we start talking about the future of Marvel’s First Family. Yes, I don’t want to give up on the team that launched the Marvel Age.

Sony and Marvel reached an agreement that Spider-Man’s cinematic future will better by working together. Spidey will be swinging in the Marvel Cinematic Universe then his own film again. Is it time for Fox to let Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny go home?

It’s too soon for another movie reboot. You might be saying the same thing about Spidey. What about a television series that weaves the FF into the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Continue reading FOUR Reasons FANTASTIC FOUR Should Go MARVEL

FANTASTIC FOUR VILLAIN VISIONS

Fox is injecting youth into its Fantastic Four reboot. Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Bell are reportedly the studio’s choices for Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben.

Josh Trank (Chronicle) is directing what is likely to be a modern take that doesn’t remain completely faithful to the source.

Now that we know who is playing the heroic team of adventurers time to ask the bigger questions:

Which villains will Marvel’s First Family face in next film? Continue reading FANTASTIC FOUR VILLAIN VISIONS

Medusa Mystery of FF

MEDUSA! MEDUSA! MEDUSA!

I LOVE this character. She’s my favorite Marvel redhead (after Jean Grey!) (Sorry MJ!)

The new FF series by Matt Fraction and Mike Allred is one of the most unusual and fun series you can enjoy. Medusa, Ant-Man, She-Hulk and Miss Thing were only supposed to be the substitute Four for four minutes but these “replacements” Continue reading Medusa Mystery of FF

Finding Fantastic Four Replacements

Fantastic Four #2 courtesy Marvel

Matt Fraction and Mark Bagley launched Fantastic Four #1 with heart, humor and thrills. Reed is taking Marvel’s First Family on a new adventure through time and space but he’s hiding the real reason behind the sudden trip – and it’s a heartbreaker.

Before Reed, Sue, Johnny, Ben and the kids blast off they must recruit a new FF to take their place. Marvel shared preview art for this week’s Fantastic Four #2.  Medusa, She-Hulk, Ant-Man and She-Thing are taking over for Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny in a brand new FF title by Fraction and Mike Allred. This next issue shows us how Reed recruited his “replacements.”

I’ve always been in love with Medusa. She may be my favorite redhead in comics (maybe after Jean Grey?) The Queen of the Inhumans will be a perfect mother figure for the kids of the Future Foundation.

I  ‘m loving She-Hulk and Ben Grimm pumping iron! Jennifer served as Ben’s replacement back in the John Byrne era.

Ant-Man (Scott Lang) may be the one friend Reed can share his secret with? The two men share a bond of science and being fathers. Scott could find the key to cure Reed somewhere in the microverse?
