In two new teasers by Jim Cheung, Marvel revealed which heroes will follow Tony Stark as he protects the future and who will align with Carol Danvers to change the future.

Marvel already teased an iconic character will die.

Should heroes stop crimes before they happen if given the ability?

That’s the center of the battle between Stark and Danvers.

X-Men vs. Inhumans – it’s on as just one of the battles in Civil War II.

The seeds of war were sown as soon as the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now emerged. In the aftermath of Secret Wars, we learned the Terrigen Cloud that was creating new Inhumans was attacking mutant DNA. Storm is leading her Extraordinary X-Men to rescue and take mutants to X-Haven while Magneto’s Uncanny X-Men are taking on a corporation profiting from the genetic crisis.

Cyclops is presumed dead after attacking the Inhumans. Beast is actually working with Medusa in Uncanny Inhumans.

Marvel revealed a new teaser for the upcoming event Civil War II with the Mighty Thor front and center with the declaration:

Protect the Future.

Change the Future.

Choose Your Side.

The sequel event will pit Iron Man against Captain Marvel when a new character with the power to predict the future emerges. Should heroes and law enforcement use this ability to arrest potential criminals before they act or is that a violation or abuse?

Marvel also revealed a major character will die in the event.

In just days Marvel announced a death then teased a possible resurrection. Before we dive into who or what may be Dead No More let’s look at who could be the victim of the first big event of the All-New, All-Different Marvel Now.

Marvel revealed a major character will die kicking off Civil War II. Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso and writer Brian Michael Bendis gave the synopsis of the story and how it evolved during a Marvel editorial summit in a New York Daily News exclusive.

MARVEL Teases DEAD NO MORE

“Dead No More” is the proclamation on Marvel’s Twitter feed today.

What could it mean?

Someone or something is dead no more according to this Marvel teaser.

This comes after the revelation that a major character will die in Civil War II and the day before Secret Wars #9 arrives tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s finale is the final battle with Doctor Doom on Battleworld that leads to the current All-New, All-Different Marvel Now reality set eight months after the conclusion. In Jonathan Hickman’s final chapter, Reed Richards, Namor and Black Panther are leading the fight against “God” Doom who created Battleworld in the remnants of Marvel’s dead multiverse.

In Civil War II by Brian Michael Bendis, Iron Man and Captain Marvel will lead opposite sides over a new character who can see crimes before they happen and how heroes should use this ability.
