ANGELA: ASGARD’S ASSASSIN By Gillen and Bennett

The strange journey of Angela takes a new twist in a brand new Marvel series. The character co-created by Neil Gaiman first appeared as an enemy of Spawn in the Image Comics Universe.

 

The character was brought into the Marvel Universe as a result of events in Age of Ultron where she hooked up with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Events in Original Sin reveal she’s an angel from the Tenth Realm and the daughter of Odin.

Marvel faced the fans at the Avengers Now panel at San Diego Comic Con following last week’s triple shot of announcements with big changes for the big three Avengers.

 

Sam Wilson will become the All-New Captain America #1 by Rick Remender and Stuart Immonen. A woman will wield the hammer in a brand new Thor #1 by Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman. Tony Stark will get a change of armor and attitude in Superior Iron Man #1 by Tom Taylor and Yildiray Cinar.

 

Rick Remender said Wilson will “earn the mantle” in Captain America #25. A new Nomad (Ian, the son of Armin Zola from Dimension Z) will be new sidekick and Steve Rogers, now in his 90’s and without the Super Soldier Serum, will be an advisor.

Guardians of the Galaxy blasts into cinemas this summer but is Marvel already working on a sequel?

 

An untitled sequel is in the works for 2016 according to JBlo.

 

Chris Pratt as Star-Lord leads a team of aliens played by Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. The James Gunn directed movie will introduce the Nova Corps, the Kree Empire, Nebula the space pirate and the Collector. Ronan the Accuser of the Kree is said to be the main villain.
