Hugh Jackman had the best moment sure to make fanboys cheer or gush when he singled out comic book legend Len Wein.

“From this man’s ear, heart and hand came my career,” Jackman said of the co-creator of Wolverine.

Len Wein created Wolverine in Incredible Hulk #181 and made the Canadian mutant part of his All-New, All-Different X-Men when he took writing the book starring a new team of mutants.

I had the pleasure of interview Wein a few years and it was amazing to see all the nervous fanboys and girls who came up to just to say “thank you for Wolverine.”

THE WOLVERINE opens this Friday.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST opens Memorial Day weekend in 2014.

Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter Heat Vision.
